We further expect our employees to report concerns in order that management can take appropriate steps to act upon them.

We are a provider of display products and services to the Live Event and retail sectors. The main activity of Tecna UK is the sale, rental and installation of modular exhibition stands and displays. We have our Headquarters in the United Kingdom and currently employ approx. 50 people from that location. We are privately owned and operated by a Senior Management Team.

Our supply chains

Our supply chains include sourcing of labour, materials, and manufacturing.

Definitions

Tecna UK considers that modern slavery encompasses:

  • Human trafficking;
  • Forced work, through mental or physical threat;
  • Being owned or controlled by an employer through mental or physical abuse of the threat of abuse;
  • Being dehumanised, treated as a commodity or being bought or sold as property;
  • Being physically constrained or to have restriction placed on freedom of movement.

Commitment

Tecna UK acknowledges its responsibilities in relation to tackling modern slavery and commits to complying with the provisions in the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We understand that this requires an ongoing review of both our internal practices in relation to our labour force and, additionally, our supply chains.

Tecna UK does not enter into business with any other organisation, in the United Kingdom or abroad, which knowingly supports or is found to involve itself in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.

No labour provided to Tecna UK in the pursuance of the provision of its own services is obtained by means of slavery or human trafficking. We strictly adhere to the minimum standards required in relation to our responsibilities under relevant employment legislation in the United Kingdom.

As an equal opportunities employer, we're committed to creating and ensuring a non-discriminatory and respectful working environment for our staff. We want all our staff to feel confident that they can expose wrongdoing without any risk to themselves.

Our recruitment and people management processes are designed to ensure that all prospective employees are legally entitled to work in the UK and to safeguard employees from any abuse or coercion.

Potential Exposure

In general, Tecna UK considers its exposure to slavery/human trafficking to be relatively limited. Nonetheless, it has taken steps to ensure that such practices do not take place in its business nor the business of any organisation that supplies goods and/or services to it.

Supplier adherence to our values

We seek to operate zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking to ensure all those in our supply chain and sub-contractors understand the importance of this issue to us and that they comply with our values.

Due diligence processes for slavery and human trafficking

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk, we are reviewing systems to:

  • Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains;
  • Educate our employees through information in our Company Policy Handbook; and
  • Ensuring staff involved in procurement activity are aware of and follow modern slavery procurement guidance on GOV.UK
  • Ensure whistle blowers are protected in accordance with our Whistle Blowing policy.
