We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Operations for our reputable exhibitions company. As the Head of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day activities of our company's operations, ensuring seamless execution of exhibitions and events. You will lead a team of four reporting managers from warehouse, production, prebuild and install and logistics, guiding them to deliver exceptional results while maintaining the highest standards of efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position will also be a contributing member of the Senior Management Team.


Responsibilities:

• Knowledge: knowledge of materials and operational processes, machining/ production, stock management and to gain good product knowledge of T3

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans, in alignment with the company's objectives, to drive operational excellence, enhance processes, and achieve organizational growth.

• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and empower the team of four reporting managers responsible for various operational functions, including logistics, event coordination, vendor management, and technical support.

• Operational Oversight: Ensure flawless execution of exhibitions and events by coordinating logistics, managing resources, and supervising on-site activities to guarantee smooth and successful outcomes.

• Budget and Resource Management: Manage operational budgets, allocate resources effectively, and optimise expenditures to maintain financial targets and maximise profitability.

• Vendor and Partner Relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners to secure competitive pricing, reliable services, and innovative solutions that enhance the quality of our exhibitions.

• Quality Control: Implement quality assurance processes to uphold the highest standards of service delivery, ensuring that exhibitions meet or exceed client expectations and industry benchmarks.

• Risk Management: Identify potential operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure the safety and security of all participants, staff, and attendees.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and creative departments, to ensure seamless communication and alignment of efforts to achieve common goals.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by analysing operational processes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing innovative solutions to streamline workflows.

• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on operational performance, including key metrics, achievements, challenges, and recommendations for optimising processes.

• Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to incorporate innovative strategies into the company's operations.


Qualifications:

• Proven experience of at least 5 years in operations management, preferably in the exhibitions, events, or related industry.

• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing teams and fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with internal teams, clients, partners, and stakeholders.

• Solid understanding of budgeting, financial management, and cost control principles.

• Proficiency in utilising relevant software and tools for project management, data analysis, and reporting.

• Problem-solving acumen and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.

• A proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented mindset, driven to achieve operational excellence.
