Using Rollable Graphics and T3

Rollable graphics of the type used on pop-ups are one of the most popular types of panel for modular systems.

Key advantages:

• Ready availability from large format suppliers, sign makers and exhibition contractors
• Superb print quality
• Scratch resistant laminates for image protection and low glare finish
• Easy to transport and store when rolled
• Easy to attach to T3 Airframe structures using magnetic tape or hook and loop (Velcro®)
• Can be used to clad doors and counters too

Here are a few simple guidelines to follow when producing rollable graphics for use on T3:

• Flat panels should ideally have a finished calliper between 450 and 550 microns
• Panels designed to attach to a curve can be thinner, typically 250-350 microns depending on the radius of the curve
• Use T3 Graphic Hangers for easy positioning of panels and to prevent panel slip over the course of an event.

Fitting of graphics

Rollable graphics can be attached to both our Classic and Channel tube profiles.

The recommended method uses self-adhesive magnetic tape applied to the panel reverse. This then attaches to a 25mm special stainless steel insert on the tube (fig1). Attaching panels with magnetic tape is ideal when a seamless appearance is required small adjustments can be made to the panels in position. Adding T3 Graphic Hangers (fig 2) makes it much easier to position panels correctly first time and also prevents panel slip.

Alternatively, hook and loop can be used where a more robust fixing is required.
